Purpose

In March 2024, the Cabinet
Member for Finance and Property
approved the commencement of a procurement procedure to award a
Hard Facilities Management (FM) Building Maintenance Services
contract to start on 1 October 2024 and delegated authority to the
Assistant Director of Property and Assets to award the
contract.
 
This new Hard FM contract will
replace the existing Maintenance Term Contract, which will not be
extended beyond its conclusion on 30 September 2024.  The new contract will deliver a greater scope of
maintenance activities, consolidating the bulk of Hard FM activity
within a single contract.

period of five years with an initial option to extend by three
