Horsham District Council: Application for consent to apply controls in Burstow Court Off-Street Car Park HT03 (24/25)
June 14, 2024 Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport (Cllr Joy Dennis) (Cabinet member) Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
Horsham District Council (HDC)
owns Burstow Court, a block of flats accessed from Bishopric. Due
to its proximity to the town centre, the car park areas associated
with Burstow Court are regularly being used by visitors to the town
centre to the detriment of the residents of Burstow Court, their
visitors and carers.
HDC proposes to introduce
parking controls so that the parking areas for Burstow Court will
be for use by permit holders only. HDC cannot introduce these
controls without the consent of West Sussex County
Council.
Decision
The Cabinet Member for Highways
and Transport has instructed the Director of Law & Assurance to
give formal consent to Horsham District Council to
allow them to introduce controls on the use of the
Burstow Court car park, as detailed in this report.
