Purpose

West Sussex County Council is a
designated Highways Authority under the Highways Act 1980 and has a
duty to maintain highways maintainable at public
expense.
 
In February 2024, the Assistant
Director (Highways, Transport and Planning)
appointed contractors to a four-year Framework Agreement to
commence 1 April 2024 for capital works for highways (Lots 4, 5, 6
and 7).
 
A
procurement exercise has been undertaken to appoint a contractor
from Lot 6 (Highway Improvements) for additional Highway
Improvement Schemes and a contractor from Lot 7 (carriageways
structural patching) to undertake an additional Carriageway
Patching Programme for delivery during the financial year
2024-25.

Decision

The Assistant Director (Highways, Transport
and Planning) has approved the award of contracts (total value
£1,725,761.94) to contractors as set out in section 2.5 of
the report to deliver works programmes for Lots 6 and 7
(Infrastructure Improvements and Carriageway Structural Patching)
during the 2024-25 financial year.
