Full council record

Purpose

A Traffic Regulation Order
(TRO) application has been made to the County Council from a local
resident with evidence of support from the local community. The
request proposed a speed limit reduction from 40mph to 30mph from
the existing 30mph terminals southwards to the junction of the
B2133.

The proposals were advertised
between 11 April 2024 to 2 May
2024.
Nine objections were received
to the proposed scheme which have been summarised and responded to
in Appendix B to this report. Sixteen comments of support were
received.

The local member for
Billingshurst, Cllr Amanda Jupp, has reviewed comments following
public advertisement and has supported the reduction of the length
of the restriction from the advertised scheme, to now only extend
to the property named Six Penny Buckle (revised plan Appendix A
attached to the report).

Decision

The Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport,
having considered the objections to the proposals, has authorised
the Director of Law and Assurance to make the Traffic Regulation
Order as set out in section 2.2 of the report.
