October 17, 2024 Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport (Cllr Joy Dennis) (Cabinet member) Key decision Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
The A2300 corridor improvement
scheme was funded primarily by the Local Growth Fund provided by
the Department for Transport with the remaining contributions from
the County Council and developers. The completion of the scheme has
enabled the commencement of a strategic residential and employment
development site to the north of Burgess Hill.
The final account for the
construction has recently been concluded and it is identified that
additional capital funding will be required.
Decision
The Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport
has approved the increase in capital allocation of £0.850m to
be funded from the predicted underspend at the final account stage
of the A284 Lyminster bypass scheme to enable the conclusion and
settlement of the final A2300 account.
