Purpose

As part of key decision

SSED01(24/25), the Cabinet Member for Support Services and
Economic Development agreed to allocate additional funding to
support the implementation of Oracle Fusion to replace the current
system.
The current Software as a Service (SaaS)
licencing agreement with Oracle will expire in June 2025 following
a 5-year term. The Council will need to continue to ensure it has
the appropriate licences to be able to implement, access and
utilise the Oracle Fusion system beyond June 2025.

Decision

The Director of Human Resources and
Organisational Development, in consultation with Interim Director
of Finance and Support Services, has approved the variation of
contract with Oracle Corporation UK Limited to extend the first
extension period by 1 year (covering the period June 2025 - 2028)
with an option to further extend the contract by 1 period of 2
years (covering the period June 2028 - 2030). The total value of
the proposed variation is £2.377m if the full term of the
extension periods are taken.
