About

The Eden Locality Board is an area committee established to foster close working relationships with local communities, comprising all councillors whose wards fall within the Eden locality. It operates under Section 9E of the Local Government Act 2000 and can be delegated significant powers and responsibilities by the Leader, Cabinet, and Council. When exercising these powers, the board must adhere to council policies, the budget and policy framework, and specific service policies. It has the ability to consider and report to the Cabinet and Council on any matter affecting its area.
