Approve the award of the
contract for Roofing works Phase 2 at Askam Village School, Askam – in – Furness to Michael
Thompson (Public Works Contractors And Engineers) Limited, St
Ninians Road, Upperby, Carlisle, CA2 4NE, for the sum of
£78,140.00 + VAT.
 
Accept the total project cost
of £101,644 .51 + VAT. The total includes fees of 7.08%
(£5,532.31) for Align Property Partners (APP) as principal
designer, 3% (£2,344.20) internal project management fee and
20% (£15,628.00) contingency sum to manage any unforeseen
change in scope uncovered in progressing the works.
 
Proceed with the project as
planned to maintain and improve the school fabric and protect the
internal learning environment.
