Purpose

Approval for the main construction works for
the Leigh Traffic Reduction Scheme

This work is connected to the MCF
programmes in Tranche 4 and is being funded by the Mayors Challenge
Fund.

Procurement will be carried out
via a framework.
 

Decision

The Portfolio Holder for Planning,
Environmental Services and Transport
authorises:- 
 

(1)    
the appointment of the contractor
identified in the report to deliver the scheme;

(2)    
entry into the delivery agreement
(grant agreement) with Transport for Greater Manchester to secure
the Mayor’s Challenge Fund funding to facilitate scheme
delivery; and

(3)    
the Assistant Director –
Legal, Governance & Elections to enter into any agreements
necessary to facilitate (1) and (2) above.
