Purpose

The purpose of this report is to seek delegated authority for
the Building Grant Scheme as part of the ‘We Love
Leigh’ Levelling Up Fund Programme.

Decision

 The Executive Leader (Portfolio Holder for
Economic Development and Regeneration) is requested to:
 

(1)    
authorise the Leigh Building Grant
scheme in accordance with the parameters  in the report;

(2)    
delegate authority to the
Assistant Director – Planning and Regeneration to take any
decisions necessary in respect of the non-fixed parameters
described in the report, to ensure the success of the
scheme;

(3)    
delegate authority to the
Assistant Director - Planning and Regeneration, to take all
decisions necessary in connection with individual grant
applications submitted pursuant to the Building Grant Scheme;
and

(4)    
authorise the Assistant Director
Legal, Governance and Elections on behalf of the Council to enter
into any agreements necessary to facilitate 1, 2 and 3.
