Purpose

Wigan
Council’s current contract with Aon UK Ltd for Tenants Home
Contents Insurance commenced on 3rd April 2023 for a period of 2
years, running to 3rd April 2023 to 6th April 2025. The contract
ensures that Wigan Council can make available provision for Home
Contents Insurance to Council Housing Tenants. The contract is due
to end on 6th April 2025. The proposed new contract is for 12
months, commencing 7th April 2025. A full tender process will
continue in the next financial year.

Decision

The Assistant Director - Customer Experience
and Support authorises:
 

(1)    
the engagement of the supplier
outlined in the report on the terms detailed in the report;
and

(2)    
the Assistant Director –
Legal, Governance & Elections to enter into such documentation
on behalf of the Council to give effect to
