Purpose

The Local
Development Scheme sets out the existing and emerging development
plan for the borough. The latest version was produced in September
2022 and needs to be amended to set out the revised timetable for
the preparation of a new Wigan Borough Local Plan, provide updates
on Neighbourhood Plans in the borough and to remove content on the
Places for Everyone Plan which has since been adopted.

Decision

The Assistant Director – Planning and
Regeneration approves the 2025 update of the Local Development
Scheme for publication.
