Purpose
Wigan Council has been awarded
£1,824,336.46 Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure funding.
Approval is sought to authorise TfGM, on behalf of Wigan Council,
to undertake the preparatory procurement arrangements to utilise
this funding to enable the delivery electric vehicle charging
infrastructure. Delegated approval is also sought for the contract
award to the successful Charge Point Operator(s)
Decision
The Portfolio Holder for Planning,
Environmental Services and Transport: -
(1)
authorises Transport for Greater
Manchester (TfGM) to undertake the procurement arrangements to
deliver the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) Programme
on behalf of Wigan Borough Council, in accordance with TfGM’s
existing constitutional arrangements and the Memorandum of
Understanding referred to in 3;
(2)
delegates authority to the
Assistant Director Planning and Regeneration, to take any decisions
necessary to facilitate a contract award by TfGM to the successful
supplier(s) following the conclusion of the procurement exercise
referred to in 1 and to agree the final detailed terms of the
Memorandum of Understanding referred to in 3;
(3)
approve entering into the
Collaborative Memorandum of Understanding between TfGM and the GM
Local Authorities in the substantive form set out in Appendix 1 to
the report; and
(4)
authorise the Assistant Director
– Legal, Governance and Elections to enter into any
agreements necessary to facilitate the above on behalf of the
Council.
