Purpose

Golborne and Lowton West Neighbourhood Forum were designated as
the Neighbourhood Forum for Golborne and Lowton West in October
2019, and produced the neighbourhood plan for Golborne and Lowton
West, which was adopted in July 2023 following referendum. This now
forms part of the Development Plan in this part of the
borough.

Their designation expired in October 2024, and they have submitted
an application to the council for their redesignation. There is no
change proposed to the designated neighbourhood area. To facilitate
this, the council has to ensure that the neighbourhood forum is in
line with Neighbourhood Planning Regulations ensuring they are
constituted appropriately, publicise the re-designation, consider
any representations received and determine whether to re-designate
the forum.

Decision

The Portfolio Holder for Planning,
Environmental Services and Transport approves the re-designation of
the Golborne and Lowton West Neighbourhood Forum as the
Neighbourhood Forum for the Golborne and Lowton West Neighbourhood
Area for a further five years until 7 January 2030, for the purpose
of supporting the implementation of the existing neighbourhood
plan. This includes continuing to be a statutory consultee on
planning applications within the Neighbourhood
Area.
