Purpose

Risley, Holcroft and Chat Moss NNR is a proposal is for the
declaration of a new landscape-scale partnership NNR across 556
hectares of lowland peat landscape of Wigan, Salford and
Warrington.

Decision

The Portfolio Holder for Planning,
Environmental Services and Transport (in conjunction with Portfolio
Holder for Finance, Resources and Transformation; and Portfolio
Holder for Communities and Neighbourhoods) is requested to support
the proposals for the inclusion of Highfield Moss SSSI within the
declaration of a new landscape-scale partnership NNR across 556
hectares of lowland peat landscape of Wigan, Salford and
Warrington.
