Purpose

The report outlines changes to the budget, including grant
funding for the Single Homeless Accommodation Programme and
amendments to the units delivered in the programme.

Decision

The Assistant Director
– Property and Assets: 

(1)          
notes the increase to works
contract costs and on-costs from tender stage at Factory Street and
Belle Green Lane and inclusion of a contingency budget for each
scheme;

(2)          
approves the delivery of the
development of 4 units at the Heysham Road site and the decision to
not proceed with the City Road development proposal, for the
reasons set out in the report;

(3)          
authorises the cost variation
to the budget for the construction of the Single Homeless
Accommodation Programme 22 one-bedroom apartments as detailed in
the report and associated amendment to the Housing Revenue Capital
Programme in relation to the approved total scheme cost budget;
and

(4)          
authorises the Assistant
Director – Legal, Governance and Elections to enter such
documentation as may be necessary to give effect to the
above.
