Purpose

The purpose of this report is to provide the Executive Cabinet
Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health with an overview of
a recent review of the community infection and prevention control
arrangements in Wigan including risks, current provision and
providing a recommended business case option for
approval.

Decision

The Portfolio Holder for Adult Social Care and Health:
 

(1)       
approves jointly funded arrangements across key partners to
form an Integrated CIPC service specification/MOU shared service
agreement;

(2)       
approves next steps identified in the report to strengthen
CIPC provision locally; and

(3)       
authorises the Director - Public Health to enter into any
agreements or sign any documentation necessary to facilitate the
above.
