Purpose

Completion of the Deeds of Grant and leases for the recently
built football hubs (‘Parklife’) is required so as to
enable the transfer of the grant funding from the Football
Foundation to Wigan Council.

Decision

 
The Assistant Director - Property and Assets:
 

(1)       
pursuant to the powers delegated by Cabinet on 02/09/2021, accepts
the grant funding offered by the organisation named in the report,
substantially on the terms of the draft agreement attached to this
report;
 

(2)       
authorises the completion of the leases of the Football Hubs at
Laithwaite Park & William Foster’s Playing
Field, substantially on the terms of the draft lease attached to
this report; and
 

(3)       
authorises the Assistant Director – Legal, Governance &
Elections, to enter into any agreements or sign any documentation,
necessary to facilitate the above.
