Purpose

Approval for the main construction works for our Whelley Loop
Line scheme.

This work is connected to the MCF programmes in Tranche 5 and is
being funded by the Mayors Challenge Fund.

Procurement will be carried out via a framework.

Decision

The Portfolio Holder for Planning, Environmental Services
and Transport authorises:-

(1)      
entry into the delivery agreement (grant agreement) with
Transport for Greater Manchester to secure the Mayor’s
Challenge Fund funding to facilitate scheme delivery;

(2)      
the appointment of the contractor identified in the report as
the main contractor to deliver the scheme; and

(3)       
the Assistant Director – Legal, Governance and
Elections to enter into any agreements necessary to facilitate (1)
and (2) above.
