Purpose

The purpose of this Annual Report is to highlight the work of
the Audit, Governance and Standards Committee and how the committee
has contributed to the Council’s overall governance
arrangements during 2023/24. The preparation of this report
satisfies good practice as recommended by the Chartered Institute
of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA)
