Purpose

The Direct Payment Policy helps make sure members of staff, the
public and health and care partners have the information they need
to make informed decisions about Direct Payments. This Policy
supports Wigan’s commitment to promoting individual wellbeing
and to supporting independence through preventing, reducing or
delaying the need for care and support.

Decision

The Portfolio Holder approves the refreshed Direct Payment
Policy that has been adapted from previous policy and
processes.
