Purpose

Wigan Council are looking for a Supported Lodgings Ofsted Registered provider, or a provider who can clearly evidence that they are in the process of registering with Ofsted. The provider will be expected to recruit, vet, train, support and retain 15 households across Wigan Borough. The service will be for young people aged 16-21 who may be care leavers, separated young people (UASC) or young people at risk of homelessness

Decision

The Portfolio Holder for Children and Families authorises:

(1)       the award of the Provision of a Supported Lodgings Service for Care Leavers and Young People at Risk of Homelessness Aged 16-21 contract to the provider referred to in the report for three years plus the option to utilise 2 separate 12-month extension periods; and

(2)       the Assistant Director – Legal, Governance and Elections to enter into such documentation necessary to give effect to 1 above.
