Purpose

To provide security and stewarding services at a variety of
events organised predominantly by Wigan Council’s Events Team
by trained, vetted, and Security Industry Authority (SIA) licensed
staff.

Decision

 
The Director - Strategy & Innovation:-
 
(1)
    approves the award of the Provision
of Security and Stewarding Services contract to the provider
identified in the report for an initial period of one year with an
option to extend for a further two years (1+1); and
(2)
    authorises the Assistant Director
– Legal, Governance and Elections to enter into any
agreements necessary on behalf of the Council to facilitate 1.
