Purpose

The objective
of this tender process is to establish a Framework Agreement to
provide highway road lining works to Wigan Council. This framework
agreement is to install new road markings that are required and for
existing road markings to be remarked across the borough’s
highway network which have been identified from inspections and
customer enquiries. In the main the works requested will be to
replace markings along sections of carriageway that have been
eroded away by road users.
It is intended that the Framework Agreement will be for a
maximum term of four years commencing 1st May 2025 consisting of a
term of Two (2) years with the option to extend for Two (2) x
Twelve (12) month periods subject to satisfactory performance by
the Contractor. It is intended to appoint a single supplier to this
Framework Agreement.
 

Decision

The Assistant Director – Infrastructure
and Regulatory Services authorises:
 

(1)    
the award of Wigan Council’s
framework agreement for highway road lining following the
conclusion of a procurement exercise, to the successful bidder as
described in the report; and

(2)    
the Assistant Director –
Legal, Governance and Elections to enter into any agreements on
behalf of the Council necessary to facilitate (1) above.
