Purpose

The Room for
Dreaming Place Partnership Consortia Project asks for the
acceptance of a grant, awarded by Arts Council England, to
undertake partner activity (from April 2025 to March 2028), linked
to the delivery of Wigan Borough’s Cultural Strategy, The
Fire Within – The Forge and wider Progress with Unity
aims.

Decision

The Portfolio Holder for Communities and
Neighbourhoods authorises:

 

(1)    
the acceptance of grant funding,
awarded by Arts Council England, on the terms outlined in the
report;

(2)    
the delivery of the Room for
Dreaming project as described in the report including the proposed
expenditure set out for Years 1, 2 & 3 and the entry into a
collaboration agreement;

(3)    
the delegation the Director of
Strategy & Innovation, to agree and finalise the engagement of
third parties to deliver such parts of the project as necessary as
well the accession of any new parties into the collaboration;
and

(4)    
the Assistant Director –
Legal, Governance & Elections to enter into such documentation
on behalf of the Council to give effect to 1-3
above.
