Decision

The Director –
Children’s Services, in conjunction with the Portfolio Holder
for Children and Families:

 

(1)         
approves the legal, commercial,
financial and governance arrangements between the ten Greater
Manchester Local Authorities, NHS Greater Manchester and the
Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) alongside the
arrangements with procured and appointed care providers;

 

(2)         
agrees that Salford as Lead
Authority on behalf of the ten Greater Manchester Local
Authorities, NHS Greater Manchester and the GMCA will be entering
into the Agreements with the care providers in respect of each of
the homes acquired by GMCA;

 

(3)         
approves the Partnership Agreement
between the ten Greater Manchester Local Authorities, NHS Greater
Manchester and the GMCA in respect of the delivery of specialist
residential care in Greater Manchester for Looked After Children;
and

 

(4)         
authorises the Assistant Director
– Legal, Governance and Elections to complete all documents
and agreements necessary to give effect to the recommendations
above.
