Purpose

In the context
of an approach that targets the causes of the causes maximising
approaches to addressing risk factors and health inequalities we
are in the process of implementing a series of actions resulting
from an investment review undertaken.

We have considered the revised budget profile and
opportunities this presents for investment priorities.

We have set out our commissioning intentions for 25/26,
aligned to our Progress with Unity public health transformation
plans. This decision will enable us to enact those
intentions.
 

Decision

 The Portfolio Holder for Adult Social Care and
Health authorises the following: -

 

(1)         
a notice be served to Greater
Manchester Mental Health Trust (GMMHT) on the public health
contribution to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Contact
(Lead commissioner being the ICB) and the re-profiling of our
public health investment into prevention and mental wellbeing as
detailed in this report;

 

(2)         
a notice be served to Creative
Support on both Lot 1 Wigan Wellbeing and Resilience & Lot 2
Mental Health and Autism of our contract with them and the
re-profiling of our public health resource into prevention and
mental wellbeing as detailed in this report; and

 

(3) the
Assistant Director – Legal, Governance & Elections to
enter into any agreements necessary to facilitate (1) & (2)
above on behalf of the Council.
