Purpose

Water Street
Car Park’s current opening times are 06:30hrs to 19:00hrs.
The NHS currently have contract parking permits for Water Street
Car Park. The NHS asked Wigan Council to open Water Street Car Park
until 11pm Monday to Friday to accommodate staff that will be
displaced due to the closure of Freckleton Street Car Park.
Freckleton Street Car Park is being closed by the NHS in order to
carry out the building of the multi-storey car park.

Decision

The Assistant Director –
Infrastructure and Regulatory Services appoints Sector Security
Services Ltd to carry out the security and locking service for late
night opening of Water Street Car Park between the house of 7pm and
11pm, Monday to Friday.
