Purpose

Standish Voice were designated as
the Neighbourhood Forum for Standish in May 2015, redesignated in
May 2020, and produced the neighbourhood plan for Standish, which
was adopted in July 2019 following referendum.  This now forms part of the Development Plan in
this part of the borough. 

 

Their designation expires on 14
May 2025, and they have submitted an application to the council for
their redesignation.  There is no change proposed to the designated
neighbourhood area.  To facilitate this, the council has to ensure
that the neighbourhood forum is in line with Neighbourhood Planning
Regulations ensuring they are constituted appropriately, publicise
the re-designation, consider any representations received and
determine whether to re-designate the forum.   

Decision

The Portfolio Holder for Planning,
Environmental Services and Transport approves the re-designation of
Standish Voice as the Neighbourhood Forum for the Standish
Neighbourhood Area for a further five years until July 2030, for
the purpose of supporting the implementation of the existing
neighbourhood plan. This includes continuing to be a statutory
consultee on planning applications within the Neighbourhood
Area.
