Purpose

Approval for the drawdown of
capital funding to develop the Leigh Town Centre Transport
Improvement Scheme Strategic Outline Business Case.

 

Works are funded via the City
Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS). 

Decision

The Portfolio
Holder for Planning, Environmental Services and
Transport:-
 

(1)    
accepts £1.05m of CRSTS1 capital funding to further
develop the Leigh Town Centre Transport Improvement scheme to
Strategic Outline Business Case. 
The Council is required to enter into a legal agreement with
TfGM to formalise the arrangement; and

(2)    
authorises the Assistant Director – Legal, Governance
and Elections to enter into any agreements necessary to facilities
the above on behalf of the Council.
