Purpose

Alteryx is a
data analytics and automation platform designed to make working
with data easier for both technical and non-technical users and is
used by a number of officers in the Performance and Insight Unit as
well as in Finance and Resident Services. It is a tool that allows
for self-service data preparation and allows users to blend, clean,
and analyse data without needing advanced coding skills. The tool
is an essential component of the analytical armour of Wigan Council
and is supporting our pledge to have a relentless focus on our data
and insight.

Decision

The Director
– Strategy and Innovation authorises:-
 

(1)    
the award of this contract to the provider referred to in the
report; and

(2)  the Assistant Director
– Legal, Governance and Elections to enter into such
documentation, on behalf of the Council, necessary to give effect
to 1 above.
