Purpose

Capital Grant
funding application received from Woodland Adventure Ltd to support
the development of 91 early years childcare places located within
the ward of Leigh West. Grant funding is available through Capital
Grant Funding awarded to Wigan LA by the DfE (£710,000) for
the purpose of expanding childcare provision where it has been
identified it is needed to support the expansion of the early
education entitlement programme.

Decision

The
Assistant Director – Education authorises:-
 

(1)    
the award of the grant funding to the recipient outlined in
the report, for the purpose described; and

(2)    
the Assistant Director – Legal, Governance and
Elections to enter into such documentation necessary on behalf of
the Council to give effect to 1 above.
