Purpose

To seek agreement to support in principle the development of the Ince Cemetery Chapels.

Decision

The Assistant Director – Property and Assets:-

(1)         declares the site as surplus to requirements and open to negotiate terms for occupation, subject to additional approvals of terms in a further report;

(2)         allocates up to £100,000 in the capital budget as match funding to support the restoration of the chapels, conditional upon Friends of Waterhouse Chapels securing external funding; and

(3)         authorises the Chief Legal Officer to enter into any legal agreements on behalf of the Council to give effect to the above.
