Purpose

The service is seeking a decision to appoint a consultancy company to provide professional services in relation the removal of waste illegally deposited on Bolton House Road Site, Bickershaw.

This will involve supporting the procurement of a contractor to clear the waste, compliance with Construction (Design and Management Regulations) and fulfilling the legal roles required in a NEC4 ECC project.
 

Decision

The Assistant Director - Environmental Services and Operational Development approves:

(1) the appointment of the consultant outlined in this report  to provide project management and associated professional services in connection with waste removal and disposal at Bolton House Road, Bickershaw; and

(2) approves the Chief Legal Officer to enter into any agreements necessary on behalf of the Council to facilitate 1.
