Purpose

We intend to vary the existing philanthropic payment by results contract with AllChild to facilitate the delivery of a third cohort of 230 children and young people from September 2026. This will enable the continuation and expansion of AllChild’s school-based early intervention and inclusion model across the borough and supports Wigan's commitment to early help, prevention and community-based support.

Decision

The Portfolio Holder for Children and Families approves:

1. a variation of the existing contract with the incumbent provider for continued delivery of the Early Intervention, Prevention and Inclusion Programme as outlined in the report; and
2. the Chief Legal Officer to enter into such documentation as may be necessary to facilitate 1 above.
