Order (TRO hereafter) proposing the introduction of a 30mph speed
restriction on the C59 Shaftesbury Road, Mere.

Reasons for the decision

The Council’s
proposals are supported by the elected Wiltshire Council Member,
Mere Town Council and the correspondents who wrote in during the
formal TRO consultation period.
 
The Council’s
proposals are concordant with the design guidance outlined in DfT
Circular 1/13 Setting Local Speed Limits (revised in March
2024)
 
The proposals are in
