Purpose

1. 
To consider the comments received following the
formal advertisement of a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO hereafter)
proposing the introduction of a 20mph speed restriction on the
following roads: C25 High Street, UC 4264 Coombe Lane, UC 4266
Blind Lane, and Kings Lane, Ansty
 

2. 
To recommend proceeding with the introduction of the
TRO as advertised.

Content

I approve that:
 
(i)             The proposals be implemented as
advertised.
 
(ii)            The objectors be advised
accordingly.
 
This
decision was published on 9 July 2025 and will come into force on
17 July 20256.

Reasons for the decision

1. 
The Council’s proposals are supported by the
elected Wiltshire Council Member, Ansty Parish Council and the
correspondents who wrote in during the formal TRO consultation
period.

 

2. 
The proposals are in accordance with Themes 1, 2, 3
and 4 of the Council’s Business Plan.

Alternative options considered

1. 
To:
 

(i)   
Implement the proposed TRO as
advertised.
 

(ii)  
Amend the proposed TRO in consideration of the
comments received.
 

(iii)Abandon the
proposals.
