Purpose

1.   
To:
 
(i)            
Consider objections to
the advertised proposals for parking controls on various roads in
Trowbridge and surrounding Parishes (Hilperton, North Bradley,
Southwick & West Ashton).
 
(ii)           
Recommend the making
of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) with minor amendments to the
advertised proposal.

I approve that:
 

(i)            
The proposals be
implemented as advertised with recommended amendments detailed in
Appendix 4.
 

(ii)           
The objectors be
advised accordingly.
 
This decision was published on 15 October
2025 and will come into force on 23 October 2025.

Reasons for the decision

6.   
The proposals are
intended to improve road and pedestrian safety and to allay
concerns of safety expressed by residents.
 

7.   
The proposal has the
support of the locally elected members, Wiltshire Council,
Trowbridge Town Council, Hilperton, North Bradley, Southwick and
West Ashton Parish Council’s and Trowbridge Local Highway
Footway Improvement Group and Area Board.
