To consider adoption of the draft Local Nature
Recovery Strategy for Wiltshire and Swindon following public
consultation

Resolved:
 
That Cabinet
notes:
 

1.   
The report and conclude that final Draft of the Wiltshire and
Swindon Local Nature Recovery Strategy 2025 (LNRS) has been
prepared in accordance with legislative procedure and is therefore
legally ‘ready’ to proceed to publication
stage.
 
That Cabinet
recommends that Full Council:

Adopts the Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) as a framework
strategy and agrees to the publication of the final LNRS, to be
made available for inspection in accord with Regulation 19 (of the
relevant regulations).
 
Reason for decision:
 
As
the Responsible Authority for the Wiltshire and Swindon Local
Nature
Recovery Strategy, Wiltshire Council has a duty to publish the
draft LNRS,
which has been produced and consulted on following requirements
as set by
The
Environment (Local Nature Recovery Strategies) (Procedure)
Regulations
2023.
