Purpose

To consider representations made to the
advertisement of a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO (in relation to
proposed waiting restrictions on the following roads in Warminster,
and to recommend an appropriate way forward.

approve that:
 

The proposals be implemented as
advertised,subject to the minor amendments to
the proposals in detailed in Appendix 4.
The objectors be advised accordingly.
All stakeholders be
advised of recommendations.

 
This decision was published on 26
November 2025 and will come into force on 4 December 2025.

Reasons for the decision

1.   
Implementation of these waiting restrictions will help to address
road safety concerns on roads outside the school, access for
residents, service vehicles and emergency services in these
locations.
 
2.   
The proposals are in accordance with priorities 2 and 3 in
Wiltshire Council’s Business Plan 2022 – 2032.
 
3.   
The proposals have the support of Sambourne Primary School.

Alternative options considered

7.       To:
 
(i)    
Implement the proposals as advertised.
 
(ii)  
Implement the proposals as advertised with amendments i.e. remove
proposed waiting restrictions on Christchurch Terrace.
 
(iii) 
Abandon the proposals.
