Purpose

To consider representations made to the
advertisement of a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) in relation to
proposed parking in Marlborough High Street and to recommend an
appropriate way forward.

Content

I approve that:
 
(i)       The proposals be
implemented as advertised.
 
(ii)       The objectors be
advised accordingly.
 
 
This decision was published on 23 December
2025 and will come into force on 3 January 2026.

Reasons for the decision

The proposals are in response to concerns
raised locally and supported through the LHFIG and accord with
priorities 2 and 7 of the Councils adopted Our Wiltshire Plan
2025-2035: A Community-Centred Approach.
 
The proposals have been prioritised by the
Marlborough LHFIG and supported by the Marlborough Area Board.

Alternative options considered

To:
 
(i)            
Implement the proposed TROs as advertised.
(ii)           
Amend the proposed TROs in consideration of the comments
received.
(iii)         
Abandon the proposal.
