To approve, award and enter into a new contract to InPost, to install and manage outdoor mail lockers at 11 Wiltshire Council leisure centres for five years

Value: £38,500 INCOME (£700 per annum per unit)

Reasons for the decision

Leisure Services will support InPost to install and commission mail lockers at its Leisure Centres within the county.

The income will support leisure services to become financially sustainable, whilst supporting local communities with access to mail lockers in local areas.

Each unit will be installed at the cost of the supplier and is a 5-year contract from installation date. The installation dates and terminations will be monitored and managed by Leisure Services.

Alternative options considered

Leisure could not install mail lockers on its sites

Reason for rejection:
Leisure are constantly wanting to improve the financial position of its centres. This will provide income for otherwise unused external space whilst providing a service to the local community
