Decision
To approve the review of the Highways Asset Management Strategy 2026
Reasons for the decision
Wiltshire Council periodically reviews its Highways Asset Management Strategy to ensure that it remains relevant, effective, and aligned with current national requirements and best practice. The previous review was completed in August 2019. Since then, a number of significant changes have been introduced at a national level by the Department for Transport, most notably the implementation of the Highways Maintenance Transparency Report requirements.
As a result, the Strategy has undergone a comprehensive review and has been updated to reflect these changes and ensure it continues to meet the Council's current and future needs.
