Decision

1. To approve the purchase of annual website hosting services from Iteracy Ltd, to host the Wiltshire Healthy Schools website at a cost of £315 plus VAT for the period 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027.
   
   2.To authorise the council's Procurement or Legal Services to sign the agreement effecting such purchase on behalf of the Council.

Reasons for the decision

Iteracy hosts the Wiltshire Healthy Schools website which enables the transfer of information between Wiltshire Council and schools.

The website supports local educational settings by providing a framework, resources and an online audit tool to improve the health, mental wellbeing and lifestyle choices of children and young people.

The website also hosts separate online audit tools for the Wiltshire Affordable Schools Award and the Wiltshire Young Carer Friendly Award.

As no suitable in-house alternative is currently available, the continuation of the existing web hosting service for a further year is necessary to maintain uninterrupted service delivery to schools while longer-term solutions are explored. An agreement has been drafted to appoint Iteracy to provide the web hosting service for this further year, to expire 31st August 2027.

Alternative options considered

None, although in-house alternatives will be explored. However, the cost charged by the current web hosting service provider is low, and in-house alternatives are likely to be more costly.
