Decision
To enter into contract to provide cultural taster sessions that will inform the development of the Inclusive Wiltshire Cultural Offer.
Reasons for the decision
Following approval by Cabinet in September 2025, Family and Children Service commissioned the Development service to develop a 3-year co-designed cultural offer for the Inclusive Wiltshire programme to provide activities for children with SEND. This includes £50,000 for the development of pilot project taster sessions in Year 1 to inform the development of the programme.
Contract with the following providers have been agreed to deliver SEND taster sessions over the Summer 2026 holidays

Wiltshire Music Centre 3, 4, 7, 12 August 2026 £1665
Pound Arts 4, 11, 21, 22 August 2026 £2165
James Aldridge 7, 21 August £600
Expenses may be claimed at £3 per participant booked on, and travel to and from the venue at 0.55p per mile.
Total £7,190
Reason for decision
These taster sessions will provide us with relevant information including type of activities, locations and schedule of provision, that will ensure we are working with participants to co-design the Inclusive Wiltshire cultural offer to provide children with and SEND a meaningful creative experience.
