Local Plan Advisory Group

The Local Plan Advisory Group provides updates and discusses matters related to the preparation of Winchester City Council's Local Plan. It aims to ensure the plan aligns with the Council's wider objectives and that members are informed and involved in policy development. The group helps foster a shared understanding of issues concerning evidence, community engagement, and cooperation with neighbouring authorities.

While not a decision-making body, the Advisory Group comments on emerging evidence, community involvement plans, draft documents for consultation, and the Inspector's report following examination. Its advice supports the Cabinet and Council in their decision-making processes regarding the Local Plan.
