The Cabinet (Traffic and Parking) Committee, now discontinued, was responsible for managing traffic and parking within the district. It exercised functions related to traffic management, park and ride, and on-street parking, as well as district council functions for temporary road closures and off-street parking. The committee also approved local transport schemes for which developer contributions could be sought to improve infrastructure.
