Corporate Parenting Forum

The Forum is where Elected Members exercising their corporate parenting role and responsibilities, namely taking care of young people in care and care leavers. The Forum includes Children in Care Council representatives who are enabled to participate in the Forum alongside officers and Members.   The Forum consists of five Councillors and one member of Local Safeguarding Children Board along with relevant officers, including the Director of Children’s Services, Deputy Director Early Help and Safeguarding, Service Leaders and the Head Teacher of the Virtual School.   Meetings occur four times a year, in Zone D Collaboration Space in the Town Hall with a start time of 5:30pm.   The terms of reference for this meeting can be found in Part 6 of the Council’s Constitution.
