Decision

Resolved – That

(1) It be approved that Heswall Day Centre is no longer required by
the Directorate of Adult Social Care for the operational provision
of day services; and

(2) It be recommended to Policy and Resources Committee that
a.
Heswall Day Centre be declared surplus to requirements; and
b.
The Director of Regeneration and Place be authorised to market the
property for sale in accordance with Section 123 of the Local
Government Act 1972, to secure the most preferential opportunity to
the Council.

(3) The Committee looks forward to the outcome of further work
planned on the modernisation of day services with the aim that the
steps can be put in hand to meet the anticipated demands and nature
of the service.
