Purpose

To rescind out of date
supplementary planning documents which are no longer required and
to adopt new up-to-date supplementary planning documents.

Decision

Resolved – That

 
1. 
The retention of the following Supplementary Documents with
explanatory notes be approved:

 

A. 
SPD1 – Designing for Development by Mobile Phone
Operators;

B. 
SPD2 – Designing for Self-Contained Flat Development and
Conversions; C. SPD3 – Hot food takeaways, restaurants, cafes
and drinking establishments; and

C. 
SPD4 – Parking Standards

 
2. 
The retention of the following Supplementary Planning Guidance
notes (included in Appendix 3) as interim guidance be
approved:

 

A. 
SPG10 - Backland Development with explanatory note pending
forthcoming residential development SPD;

B. 
SPG11 - House Extensions pending forthcoming householder
development SPD;

C. 
SPG19 - Hamilton Square Conservation Area with explanatory note
pending the adoption of a Conservation Area Regeneration
Plan;

D. 
SPG23 - Port Sunlight Conservation Area with explanatory note
until new Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plans are
completed; and

E. 
SPG43 - Shop Front Design.

 
3. 
The publication of the explanatory notes alongside the relevant
retained Supplementary Planning Documents and Supplementary
Planning Guidance notes as set out in Appendices 3 and 4 to this
report be approved.

 
4. 
The withdrawal of all the remaining SPGs as detailed in Appendix
2 to this report be approved.

 
5. 
That the Director of Regeneration and Place be authorised to
make any consequential changes to other planning documents to
ensure correct references to the adopted Local Plan.

 
6. 
That the Director of Regeneration and Place be authorised, in
consultation with the Chair and Party Spokespersons of the
Committee, to approve future scoping documents and draft
Supplementary Planning Documents or Supplementary Guidance Notes
for the purposes of public consultation on the understanding that
final approval and adoption of such documents will be subject of
future reports to the Committee for final adoption.
